Look at the following testimonies from a business man, a youth pastor and a teenager about how God has been working through American Mission Teams in Brazil!
A business man, who was a team leader, writes to us after a mission trip (July, 2011):
The prison and orphanage visits had a great impact on my team. Renee and Stacia (both mothers) were especially moved by the children in the orphanages. They could have spent the entire day loving on the children!
The plaza meetings were very well attended. I counted at least 300 people at many of the plaza meetings.
I am still smiling over the man who came up to us in the plaza in Rio to share that he was in the same plaza 4 years ago and stopped to see Redeemer and sketchboard. He shared his life was changed because of hearing the Gospel message! He is now active in his church and mentoring other men. PRAISE GOD to see some of the fruit of your work!
And then to have this same man come back an hour later (to give us bottled water he bought) only to be there when we were praying over a crying man who thought his life was worthless. To see this new believer step in and talk with the crying man was powerful! God’s timing is incredible!
I have begun to pray about what God may have in store for me again in Brasil. Robert M.
A youth pastor writes to his church during a mission trip here (April, 2008):
This was an incredible day of ministry. Words cannot describe it. We did seven meetings… saw over 500 people raise their hands signifying that they had prayed to receive Christ today. These were adults, high school and middle high school students at school assemblies. We saw that they were authentically moved by the looks on their faces and the stories they told. One young woman tonight is hooked on drugs and is so tired of it that she wants to be free. We are getting her connected with a local church. A man came up tonight after our final campaign where we had 500 in attendance and said that he was tired of fighting God and was surrendering to Christ. This was the most incredible day of ministry I think I have ever experienced on all levels in 20 years of youth ministry… Keith M.
A teenager writes to us after a mission trip (April, 2008):
I had an amazing time getting to know ya’ll. It was a once in a lifetime experience! I loved hearing you both translate, and share the gospel. You have impacted my life in a very special way! Thank you both for following God’s calling for your life and fulfilling the Great Commission! I am truly blessed and honored to have met you both and to have been able to serve God with you!…Megan L.
